Game Console Repair

One of our most frequently asked questions is “Do you work on game consoles?”.  The answer is yes, we do.

Our most requested repair is HDMI port replacement.  This process requires micro soldering.  Currently, we sub that out to a contractor.  Price is dependent on the system you have as well as the damage to the port.  Obviously, repair for older systems such as Xbox 360 is typically less expensive than repairs to newer systems such as PS5.

We can also replace hard drives, USB ports, screens, charging ports, power supplies, etc.

Brief list of systems we can work on:

  • PlayStation (Original to PS5)
  • Xbox (Original to Xbox Series X)
  • Nintendo Switch

Occasionally, we have customers bring us classical systems like Atari or Nintendo GameCube.  We are always happy to look at systems and see if we can help.  However, older systems are rarely cost effective to repair.  We always do an honest evaluation and present the customer with all options.  Ultimately, the decision to repair, replace, or decline either is up to the customer after they informed of all the options and prices.

Can you fix controllers?

Yes, we can.  However, it is rarely cost effective to do so.  We will be glad to look at your controller and give you an honest evaluation.

The life of your system is in regular cleaning and maintenance.  Dust is the worst enemy for your console.  While no one wants to think about it, roaches will literally kill your system.  The inside of your console is a warm sweet home to the bug population.
